Aside from “official” FreeSkool classes, there is lots of other exciting sharing and learning going on every week around KW.
Women and Transfolk Bike Night is held every Tuesday at 6 pm, downtown Kitchener at Recycle Cycles (their blog is linked in the ¡Other Free Education! column to the right of this post and has a whole boatload of excellent content). Meetings for our sister action group Craftivist Skillshare are Monday nights at 6 (their web site is also linked!).
Reproductive Justice in Canada classes are already well underway. They meet on Wednesdays, from 3-5 pm in SLC 2143. If you can’t make it out to the class, it’s well worth your time to take a click through to Ashling’s blog about the class (also in the handy resource list!) to read about some RJ issues both in KW and the wider community, often detailing ways to get involved in the fight for reproductive rights right here at home!
